WAZA Welcomes New Member - Dubai Safari Park

The World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA) welcomes Dubai Safari Park, based in the United Arab Emirates, as a new Institution Member.
Dubai Safari Park is one of the largest wildlife parks in the region, home to more than 3,000 animals representing over 300 species. The park offers immersive wildlife experiences designed to connect visitors with biodiversity and promote awareness of conservation.
WAZA CEO Dr Martín Zordan said, “Dubai Safari Park reflects the growing role of progressive zoos in delivering conservation impact alongside strong public engagement and education. We are pleased to welcome them to the WAZA community.”
The park places strong emphasis on animal welfare, conservation, sustainability, and environmental education, embedding these principles across its operations and visitor experiences. Through a combination of educational programmes, immersive encounters, and community engagement, Dubai Safari Park aims to inspire understanding of wildlife and encourage positive conservation action.

Dubai Safari Park is a member of the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria (EAZA) and the Southeast Asian Zoos and Aquariums Association (SEAZA).
