WAZA Forms Partnership with Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute

The World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA) is pleased to announce a partnership with the Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute (MDPI), which owns open access journals Animals, Conservation, and Journal of Zoological and Botanical Gardens (JZBG). The partnership aims to foster increased publishing of open access scientific research by the global zoo and aquarium community.

Through the partnership, WAZA members will be entitled to several benefits, including:

  • A 15% discount on article processing charges for all WAZA members to publish articles in the Animals, Conservation and JZBG journals;
  • A quota of five fully waived papers per journal, for WAZA members, in Conservation and JZBG until the end of 2022 (submission date). The quota is on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Job announcements free of charge on the Animals, Conservation and JZBG website.

About the Journals:

Animals is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal devoted entirely to animals, including zoology and veterinary sciences, published semi-monthly online by MDPI.

Conservation is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal on the biological, sociological, ethical, and economic and other transdisciplinary dimensions of conservation, published quarterly online by MDPI.

Journal of Zoological and Botanical Gardens is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal on the intersection of fauna and flora conservation, published quarterly online by MDPI.
