Conservation & Nutrition Symposium co-hosted by JAZA

The Tokyo Zoological Park Society will host the Conservation and Nutrition Symposium on 28 February 2026, focusing on the role of nutritional research in the conservation of rare bird species.
Co organised with the Japanese Association of Zoos and Aquariums, a WAZA Member, the symposium will highlight practical applications supporting the conservation of the rock ptarmigan, the blue jay and the Japanese crested ibis.
Taking place from 13.00 to 16.30 at the Tama Zoological Park Watching Center Animal Hall, the programme will feature expert presentations and a panel discussion exploring the potential of nutritional science in wildlife conservation.
Although open to all, the content is designed for high school students and above. Registration has now closed.
