WAZA Welcomes New Member - Naples Zoo

The World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA) welcomes Naples Zoo, based in the United States, as a new Institution Member.
Naples Zoo is a non-profit zoological institution dedicated to inspiring respect for wildlife through conservation, education and high standards of animal care. Set within a historic botanical garden, the zoo offers visitors a unique opportunity to connect with nature.
WAZA CEO Dr Martín Zordan said, “Naples Zoo demonstrates a strong commitment to advancing animal welfare and wildlife conservation while inspiring its community. We are pleased to welcome the institution to the WAZA community.”
Since 2015, Naples Zoo has invested more than USD 4.5 million in field conservation, supporting projects that contribute to species recovery, habitat protection and coexistence between people and wildlife. The zoo also works with partners across seven countries, supporting a range of conservation initiatives for threatened wildlife.
