The 17th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD COP17) will take place from 19 to 30 October 2026 in Yerevan, Armenia.

The meeting will bring together Parties to the Convention, along with international organisations and stakeholders, to review progress and advance global action on biodiversity conservation. Discussions will be expected to build on the implementation of the Kunming–Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, with a focus on strengthening commitments, monitoring progress and supporting coordinated action to halt and reverse biodiversity loss at a global level.

WAZA will be present at the COP, contributing to international dialogue on biodiversity conservation and the role of zoos and aquariums in delivering conservation outcomes.
