WAZA Welcomes New Member – Louisville Zoological Garden

The World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA) is pleased to welcome Louisville Zoological Garden as a new Institution Member.
Louisville Zoological Garden in the United States, attracts more than 905,000 guests annually. Over the past 30 years, they have opened three major award-winning habitats: Islands, Gorilla Forest and Glacier Run.
Louisville Zoological Garden maintains comprehensive animal welfare programmes and focuses its conservation efforts on species recovery, sustainable practices, and community engagement through partnerships and education. They support and participate in a variety of programmes, including AZA SAFE initiatives, GSMP efforts, and regional projects in the Kentucky, United States.
