Overview
Guangdong Chimelong Group is a leading enterprise in the Chinese tourism industry. It is established in 1989 and located in Guangdong Province of P.R.China, near Hongkong and Macao. Chimelong has established the world’s largest ex-situ conservation base and take care of more than 1,000 wildlife species. The research achievements have received numerous provincial and ministerial-level scientific and technological awards. It has established cordial relationships with the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA), the European Association of Zoos and Aquariums (EAZA), and the Southeast Asian Zoos and Aquariums Association (SEAZA) in wildlife conservation. The Chimelong Postdoctoral Workstation was established in 2022, and is inviting applications from China and abroad for 2 full-time postdoctoral research positions, and we offer competitive remuneration packages.

The position is open to applicants of any nationality; The candidate should under 35 years old, and obtained doctorate degree within the past three years.

position details
Postdoctoral researchers will be paid attractive salaries. We offer free meals, employee housing, required office amenities, research equipment, and lab and office space for conducting research. Other associated benefits will be offered following corporate policy and national law.
According to the “Measures for the Implementation of the Administration and Services of Postdoctoral Researchers in Guangzhou” and the “Thirty Detailed Rules for the Talent Ecosystem in Panyu District,” postdoctoral talents will receive an annual allowance of 280,000 RMB (or 39016 USD at current rate) per person for two years. Furthermore, the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Finance will provide a one-off grant of 200,000 RMB (or 27800 USD at current rate) for research projects, and the Panyu District Bureau of Finance will offer a start-up fund of 100,000 RMB (or 13900 USD at current rate) per individual. Postdoctoral scholar is qualified to apply for China Postdoctoral Science Foundation.
requirement of research output
The employed postdoctoral researchers shall be responsible for or participating in scientific research and popular science projects at Chimelong Institute of Flora and Fauna Conservation;Receive at least one research fund from other scientific organization. Complete the objectives of the postdoctoral research project, and submit work reports;Publish at least one paper in an SCI journal as the first author with Guangdong Chimelong Group Co., Ltd. as the first author’s affiliation.
The terminal evaluation will be carried out according to the “Measures for the Implementation of the Administration and Services of Postdoctoral Researchers” formulated by the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security.
