Facts about this animal
Golden silk orb spider are long-legged spiders of tropical regions. The abdomen is elongated and often decorated with blacks, yellows and whites. Body length is about 2 to 6 cm (females). Males are considearbly smaller, about 1/5 the size of the female. It got its name from the golden colour of its silk. The web of the Golden silk orb spider can be more than 1.5 meter across and is very strong.
