Modern zoos and aquariums are facing
multiple
challenges, as they simultaneously strive for
setting and maintaining high standards and
sustainable practices in education, recreation,
research and conservation. Having an effective
marketing strategy is crucial for communicating the
value that zoos and aquariums serve in these
multiple roles.
To help achieve this goal, representatives of the
global zoo and aquarium community will share case
studies, best practices and strategic proposals at
7th International Zoo and Aquarium Marketing Conference. This conference is jointly organised by the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA) and Granby Zoo in Granby (Quebec) in Canada, which will host the conference from June 13 to 16, 2011.
